Ansvar appoint new Managing Director

Ansvar have announced the appointment of Cathy Taylor as their new Managing Director. Cathy, a Chartered Insurer and MBA, has over 25 years experience in the profession - covering underwriting, sales and development, marketing, operations and strategy. She has previously worked for Norwich Union, CGU, General Accident and Hibernian Insurance. She joined Ecclesiastical Group in 2002 and latterly was the Gloucester company’s Group Strategy Development Manager.
Cathy commented: “I am delighted to return to an operational role and particularly to be working with the Ansvar team in Eastbourne. This is a very special business with a unique position in the market place. Our customer base is exceptionally loyal and our broker and customer feedback is extremely good. I am looking forward to working with my team to continue to grow our business profitably and to build on the many opportunities that we have within the not-for-profit sectors.”
Cathy will be joining a company rich in colleagues with a personal commitment to charity involvement. She has a close affinity with a hospice in Birmingham and has been known to abseil off buildings, organise fashion galas - and has even been locked up in Leicester prison – all in the cause of charitable fundraising!
