New Underwriting appointment at Ansvar

Ansvar have announced the appointment of Marcus Booth as their new Underwriting Manager. Marcus, who comes from Stockton-on-Tees, graduated from Bristol University with a BA(Hons) in Theology and Religious studies before joining Royal and Sun Alliance in 1985. Initially in their Life and Pensions Department, he subsequently took on a number of underwriting roles – covering commercial, household and personal lines.
In 2005 he joined the Ecclesiastical group. Whilst there he was Lead Underwriter in the development of the British Insurance Award winning ‘Heritage’ product.
Marcus commented: “I am thrilled to be joining an organisation whose ethical stance fits so comfortably with my own beliefs and career background. These are exciting times at Ansvar, as the company further develops its focus on customer service with even greater attention to account and broker management. In particular I am looking forward to my involvement in the training and development of our staff to fulfill their individual potential, making us even better equipped to support Ansvar’s future growth plans.”
Marcus is involved in church activities - he is an accomplished church bell ringer - and his community activities include Cub Scout leader and archery.
