Legal Status Change
7 January, 2011
Important information: Part VII Transfer of Ansvar Insurance Company Ltd to Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc.
On 9 December the High Court in London sanctioned our legal status change from being a subsidiary company to become a business division of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc with effect from 1 January 2011. Whilst this does not affect the day to day business, it did entail a transfer of the assets and liabilities of Ansvar Insurance Company to Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc via a legal process called a Part VII Transfer.
The following documents contain important information including an Independent Expert Report from James, Brennan and Associates which confirms the reasons for this proposed change and that Ansvar Policyholders will not be adversely affected by the transfer.
